2D Fonts and Dropdown in Excel

I am using the Barcode Add-in Font Encoder for Excel and I cannot figure out how to display the barcode correctly.

This is what my spreadsheet looks like:

My fonts show up like this in the font drop-down list: image

What is your advice?

Operating System: Windows

Application: Excel, IDAutomation DataMatrix

Note: A new product (Native Barcode Generator for Excel) has been released since this post was resolved that offers an easier method of generating barcodes in Excel 2016 for Mac: https://www.idautomation.com/barcode-components/excel-native-generator/

I. Although we do have a QR-Code, DataMatrix, and PDF417 2D Font made specifically for Excel, there may be line gaps in the barcode due to unavoidable spacing limitations in Excel itself.

II. Traditionally, a 'gapless' 2D barcode may be formed by performing a mail merge into Word, using the non-Excel 2D barcodes and adjusting the spacing.

III. The barcode font might preview peculiarly in the font dropdown, but this does not affect the barcode’s functionality.

In general, it might be easier to choose the Format Cells placeholder:

Then navigate to the correct font, as the name shows clearly:
