How do I remove the returns within the Data Matrix string?


Why do I get returns within the Data Matrix string? Created data in Excel from multiple columns, then concerted data to alpha using add-in. When I go to apply data in Word, there are returns that break up the barcode into 4 strips. What am I doing wrong?

Best Answer

Carriage Returns and Line Feeds are required for 2D encoded data such as Data Matrix and QR Code. When the barcode is applied to the encoded data, it will form a correct 2D barcode. If there are additional spaces, verify that Word is set to No Spacing.
