How to create a GS1-128 barcode with FNC1 and AI numbers in Crystal Reports using the Native Generator?

I am using IDAutomation Native Code 128 Auto in a Crystal 9 report. I have copied the Barcode Generator object from the IDAutomation Native - Code 128 Auto.rpt sample report into my own report and can create a 128 barcode from my data. But I want this to be a GS1-128 barcode that includes details in parentheses for FNC1 and AI numbers.

How do I edit the barcode formula to include these details?

Operating System: Windows 7

Application: Crystal Reports 9

Best Answer

To generate GS1-128 barcodes using the Crystal Reports Native Generator:

(1) Set ApplyTilde = True
(2) Encode data for GS1-128
(3) Use the supplied GS1 HRI Object to display the HR data

Example:
(01)1234567890

NOTE:
When generating GS1 symbols, IDAutomation recommends testing the result with the Barcode Decoder App which parses out GS1 data to verify proper encoding.
