Changes After Software Update


We recently updated our ERP software that uses integrated Crystal Reports. One of the reports was using an IDAutomation Code 128 barcode font.

After updating, the font quit displaying. After contacting the ERP’s technical support, they said they no longer support the barcode font in their DLLs and that we would have to download something from IDAutomation.

Is there a DLL from IDAutomation that we need to get to make this work?

Although we do not recommend the use of barcode fonts with ERPs, you could try the free font encoder UFL. Follow the instructions carefully and install the barcode font and UFL on each machine wanting to view the report.

Please note, the UFL (encoder DLL for Crystal Reports) does not affect the appearance of the barcode font – it encodes the data so that the font will form a scannable barcode.
