Resolved Questions

How do I install the True Type fonts?

I want to develop a label in Crystal Reports XI that contains a human-readable, 30-character text string and the same value in Symbology Code 128. I have been provided with the following three of your products.

IDAutomation Code 128 Font Advantage
IDAutomation_Code128_WebFonts
IDAutomation-Linear-Font-Encoder-Developer-Tools

In other cases, I have simply installed the required True Type font and then designated it as the font for use in the bar-coded data in my Crystal Report. How would I proceed in this case?? Thank you.

Operating System: Windows 7 Pro

Application: Crystal Reports XI

The following is recommended:

· Install the Code 128 fonts in the system generating the barcodes.
· Use the Code 128 Font Formula* (an embedded font encoder) found in the extracted path IDAutomation_C128FontAdvantageCrystal Reports FormulasIDAutomation_Formula_Code128Auto.txt.
· In Crystal Reports, add a text field underneath the barcode representing the same data as the barcode.

*Before barcode fonts can be applied to the data, the data must be encoded using a font encoder. To learn more about encoding, please view this forum post covering the topic.
