How do I setup data in Excel on my mac to work w/ 2of5 font

I am using the demo version of the font right now. If I can get it to work, I'll buy the tools needed to achieve my goal. I need to be able to create a variable I2of5 bar code in InDesign (CC 2019) from a linked Excel (.csv) data file using Datamerge.

Operating System: Mac OS 10.14

Application: InDesign CC2019 & Mac Excel 16.22

For Mac, we recommend the Universal Font Package (compatible for Mac) to create Interleaved 2 of 5 and other barcode types. In order to produce barcodes in InDesign, another application such as Excel must be used to format the data similar to this tutorial:

How to format data in Excel (2004,2011, and 2016) using Universal Fonts and VBA

The example creates a Code 128 barcode using the formula =idautomation_uni_c128(cell location,False)

For Interleaved 2 of 5, use the formula: =idautomation_uni_i2of5(cell location,3, TRUE)

After formatting the data, it should appear as a group of letters. Save the file and then perform a data merge into InDesign. Select the IDAutomationS Uni M (demo font) or IDAutomation Uni M (licensed font) to produce I2of5.

This InDesign Data Merge example shows how to merge Excel with InDesign.
