How to print EAN-13 with package UPC/EAN Font Package?

I installed the fonts and used font: IDAutomationUPCEANM
It is used in our ERP software to print labels.
The printed barcode cannot be read by our scanners as EAN13 and is different from the EAN barcodes generated by the ZPL software on our ZEBRA printers.

How do I make a difference between UPC and EAN?
What is the difference between the fonts?

Do I have to add something to the data?

Operating System: windows 2008r2

Application: Magic ERP software

There are several reasons why a barcode will not scan. It is important to know the difference between barcode fonts and barcode images. A barcode font requires a font encoder to format the data before it is applied.

The UPC/EAN Font package uses one font (IDAutomationUPCEAN) to create UPCe, UPCa, EAN13, and EAN8.

The encoder is what determines the barcode symbology/type.

The suffix at the name, IDAutomationUPCEANM of the font
represents the font height. M is for Medium, XS is for Extra-small.

Based on the information you have provided, we do not have a font encoder for the application that you are running. However, if it is possible to encode the data in another application, consider the free font encoders.

Ok, thank you for your answer.
The problem is solved, I wrote my own decoder based on the information I found on the internet.
I'm just looking for the encoding system for the add-on (5 digits). Probably easy to do as well, but I have to know the system behind the encoding.

Thanks.

Documentation for the Native Font Encoder is available with API. However, this is the only documentation and examples that we have. Do you receive an error? If so, what is the error or issue?

I'm trying to solve the problem with the 'native Windows barcode font dll api' to convert the barcodes before printing.
I call :
Module = 'IDAutomationNativeFontEncoder'
functionname = IDAutomation_EAN13
argument type string= '44'
argument1 = barcode to encode eg '5425008770185'
argument2= variable for the return.
I always get 'wrong numbers of arguments'
What am I missing?
Do you have more documentation for the DLL?
Thanks
