Please take a look and let us know how we print and scan special characters like *,/, [,{, :& etc. with the Code 128 Font in Oracle BIP reports.

As Ben replied, To create barcodes in XML/BI Publisher, you need to implement the Java Encoder. For this, you need an advanced developer that knows both Java and XML Publisher. Carefully follow the procedure step by step:
Generating Barcodes in Oracle XML BI Publisher

Also, refer to this post:
BI Publisher Post for 1D Barcodes

If that is too difficult to implement, we recommend Barcode Label Software Pro. It can easily connect to an Oracle database and print barcodes in a report or on labels. To use the label software to print a report instead of a label, choose to define custom label stock and choose 1 row and 1 column.

Hi Ben,
just so we have a clear understanding ...
Requirements: We would want to use Barcode 128 or 39 and print the barcodes with special characters and our scanners should be able to scan those barcodes.

using: We are using XML publisher for some Oracle reports.

Please let us know what coder needs to be used ...
or let us know if you wish to have a call/conference with our development team so that it can help us

thanks,
Naveen G.K.

The attachment contains a barcode font that was not processed by a font encoder. Please carefully follow the installation procedure step by step for the font encoder you are using. You must use a font encoder. After that, if it is not scanning let us know what step of the installation procedure you are having a problem with.
