Testing your barcode fonts

Dear Sir,

I am testing your barcode font IDAutomationSC128S using third-party software. There is something strange and I do not know if this is because its a demo font.

When I use the data '152314292231014' I get a correct barcode that can be scanned. When I use the data '152314291231014' the barcode I get cannot be scanned.

Can you please send me an explanation of this?

That may be the cause of the issue. Most barcode company fonts will only work with their own encoders as there are different characters designated for start/stop characters. Verify that when encoding the value 152314291231014 for Code 128A it produces the encoded data as Ë152314291231014QÎ

If not, then the barcode will not be scannable using IDAutomation fonts.

We cannot support other company font encoders (if encoding is the issue).

Please send me the decimal values of the start/stop characters. Also, are these two characters always the same? or depend on the data encoded?

Can you attach the barcodes to this chat or send them to us: Contact Us?

When creating barcodes using a font, it is the font encoder that is responsible for properly formatting the barcode. What font encoder are you using to format/encode the data?

When possible, we recommend IDAutomation Font Encoders.
