Code128 - interpretation of AI length in HRI

I'm using Crystal Reports alongside the product Barcode Generator for Crystal Reports (Code 128 & GS1-128 (IDA97)) to generate labels.

One barcode I'm currently struggling with is comprised of three elements: GTIN (02), Number of units (37), and Customer purchase order number (400). GTIN is a fixed length (14 digits) element and the other two are variable length. Using the following for human readable: IDAutomation_Code128HumanReadableTilde ("Ê02" & {@barcodeA1} & "37" & {@barcodeA2}& "Ê400" & {@barcodeA3})
I get the following printed: (02) 0641489450060937120 (400) 123456789

Using this version: IDAutomation_Code128HumanReadableTilde ("Ê02" & {@barcodeA1} & "Ê37" & {@barcodeA2}& "Ê400" & {@barcodeA3})
I get the following result: (02) 06414894500609 (3712) 0 (400) 123456789

My challenge is that there is not an AI 3712, so I'm not sure why it is resolving it. it should return (37)120. How would this influence the machine-readable format between the two options above?

Thanks, Colin

Application: Crystal reports 2008 (12)

It appears you are creating the barcode correctly. The human-readable interpretation and decoding of the GS1 AIs is provided as a courtesy and will not affect the data that is encoded.

IDAutomation recommends testing the result with the Barcode Data Decoder App

Yes, and you can also test scan your data with the Barcode Decoder Verification App from a mobile device. Enable the parser to see the decoded info.

Thank you, Brant. Can I submit a PDF version of the label for you to verify if the barcodes are reading correctly too?
