Error when trying to create barcode using font, Font Formula, and Crystal Reports

I am using Crystal Reports 12 (XII) along with IDAutomation's Premiere Barcode Font Package and the encoding tool, Crystal Reports Barcode Formula, that I found on the Crystal Reports Barcode Integration Guide.

I'm getting strange results after I apply my own formulas and formatting.

How can I test my implementation to get a valid barcode, once the encoding then the font has been applied?

Operating System: Windows 8

Application: Crystal Reports 12, Crystal Reports XII

You are correct to first encode your data and apply the barcode font to create a valid barcode.

The video tutorial, How to Create Barcodes in Crystal Reports using Formulas and Fonts, demonstrates the entire process. Initially, it is best to manually edit the DataToEncode to a fixed number, instead of assigning it to a dynamic field ([Table.Field]).

Once a valid barcode has been generated (and it has been verified by scanning the barcode), it is possible to start testing your programming logic and find the error in your specific implementation.
