Create a Code 128A Barcode using Excel Barcode Generator

This post explains how to create a Code 128 A using the Excel Barcode Generator.
Product Requirements for this tutorial:
Code 128 Excel Generator (Windows and Mac compatible)
• Microsoft Excel

For illustration purposes, the screenshots use the IDAutomation_Linear_2D_ExcelNativeBarcodeGenerator.zip (includes Code 128 A)

1. Purchase and download the Code 128 Barcode Generator for Excel from the IDAutomation store.

2. Right-click the IDAutomation_Linear_2D_ExcelNativeBarcode Generator.zip and choose Extract All.

3. Access the contents of the package (in the VBA folder) and note the location of the IDAutomation_ExcelNativeLinearVBA.bas. file.

4. Open Microsoft Excel and enter data.

5. In Excel, select Developer - Visual Basic.

6. Select File - Import File and locate the .bas file (noted in step 3) to import, IDAutomation_ExcelNativeLinearVBA.bas.

7. Select File - Close and Return to Microsoft Excel.


8. In cell B2, enter the formula =IDAutomation_NXLS_C128A(A2,1).
