Problems with the Code128b Barcode

Hi all,

we are using VBA Functions for BarCode v 2.30 and have problems with different encodings.
For example: in an excel sheet we use '=code128b("0.1.42.3")', the VBA code generate a string like this
'Ö0.1.42.3Ãä'. But the char for the checksum (ASCII 195) wasnt shown correctly. The Barcode Output (with Font "Code 128" print a square insteed of a "line-code". Refering to over 5000 idnumbers at our database, about 10 percent are encoded with errors :( Any help

Hello,

This is usually a character set issue with special characters. The work around is to use the universal font package instead. The universal functions encode the data to just alpha characters, where each letter is a single bar in the barcode.
Here is the knowledge base article for additional information.

Not sure if you are already using it but we have our word and excel add in that will install all the necessary excel functions and make changing to a barcode as easy as clicking a button.
