Dynamic PDF417 barcodes in Excel

I'm testing out your PDF417 products and having a hard time getting them right. We create a form in Excel, and the PDF417 barcode needs to be dynamic so the operator can print the form after entry and start the next entry as a continuing process.
I see mail merge in the samples but I'm not sure if that will work for us since it looks like a 2 step process.

Ben	Best Answer *2016 Update:* A new product (Native Barcode Generator for Excel) has been released since this question was resolved that offers an easier method of generating barcodes in Excel. IDAutomation offers a 2D XLS Font for generating barcodes directly in Excel; however, it does have some limitations. It is compatible with Data Matrix, QR Code, PDF417, and Aztec. Microsoft Excel may also be used as a data source for the font. Due to certain Excel limitations and the requirements of a 2D barcode (as a font), displaying the PDF417 barcode may not always generate a proper barcode (shape). Excel will not adjust to line feeds and carriage returns from within a cell, which is why Excel may also be used as a place to encode the data, and an application, such as Word, can be used to display the barcode. 2D Barcode Generation Options for Excel: Option 1 Use the 2D XLS Font for Excel with VBA directly with some limitations. Option 2 Encode data using the Barcode VBA macro in Excel and perform 2D Mail Merge into Word 2D Mail Merge into Word Option 3 Use ActiveX Control to generate 2D barcode images directly in Excel.
