Error using ActiveX QR Code on Windows 11

I tested and developed a Microsoft Access application using IDAutomation_QRCodeWindowsFontEncoderDEMO.exe on my Windows 10 computer and purchased and tested the licensed version on the same computer with success. I installed it on a user's Windows 11 computer and when I open any form or report with the QR code control on it, Access crashes. This happens with both the demo and licensed version of the QR code software on the Windows 11 computer. Both computers are running Microsoft Access Version 2212 Build 15928.20216.

How do I resolve this crashing error?

Operating System: Windows 10 / Windows 11

Application: Microsoft Access Version 2212 Build 15925.20216

Hello Wayland,

If you are using the ActiveX component for Access, this is a known issue with Access crashing in any version greater than 2010. The ActiveX component is a legacy installation method for Microsoft Access and if you are using the QR-Code Font and Encoder Suite the recommended installation is via a VBA macro which will resolve the issue with Access crashing.

You can find the tutorial for using the VBA Macro for Microsoft Access here: VBA Barcode Macro & Functions Tutorial for Microsoft Office Excel, Access & Word on Windows or Mac.

If you are not using the ActiveX Control in Access, please advise which installation method you are using for further assistance.
