In the Barcode Label Software, my Paper Type keeps defaulting to a different value

I cannot get my paper type to match the paper/type of my label using your Barcode Label Software. it seems to keep defaulting to a different value. I am a bit frustrated and confused. How do I resolve this issue?

If there is an issue with the Paper Type and getting the desired size, make sure that your printer setting's paper type is not defaulting to an undesired value.

I will provide an example using an HP Laser Printer. Keep in mind, each printer has different settings. In my example, I need to create a paper type that is 8 and 1/2 by 11 but when I look at my paper type, it is set to Monarch and has a size of Width of 2.87 and a Height of 6.5.

That is not what I want but it keeps defaulting to it. So, how do I fix it? You must modify the printer settings directly from the printer. Close out the IDAutomation Barcode Label Software and access the Windows Control Panel. In Hardware and Sound, View Devices and Printers.

Access the Printer Properties for the printer paper type that you need to modify--right-click and select Printer Properties.

Choose Preferences.

In the Paper Type drop-down, select the preferred paper type. Select Apply and OK.

Open the Barcode Label Software. In the Label Options window, select Cancel.

Access Tools--Configure Printer.

Select the printer and choose Load Values from Printer:
