I cannot get barcode 128 purchased license to scan

Question

I cannot get barcode Code 128 purchased license to scan when printed on paper. Can soneone assist. I've installed all the TTF files needed and the font is installed successfully. Its when I print and scan with a scanner, it will not work.

Customer also emailed support and here is the answer provided:

You cannot use a font by itself and generate a scannable barcode. You must first encode your data in Excel using a VBA macro and then for Word, you will need to merge the encoded data to Word where you apply the font to complete the barcode. Here are tutorials for Excel and then merging to Word:

Customer advised they are working in MAC and returned the Code 128 font set to use the Universal 1D Barcode Font set instead.
