Human-Readable Text under Barcode Truncated (Cut Off) In Barcode Streaming Product

We have been using the demo of the Dynamic Barcode Generator Subscription and are really impressed with its versatility.

To generate our GS1 compliant Code 128 barcode images, we pass the following data (IR=300, PT=T, CS=0):

~20242012345~202910112345678912345678~m19

The HR (human-readable text under the barcode) shows (420)12345(91):

When scanned using the IDAutomation 2D USB Barcode Scanner (SC7-USB) into the Free Barcode Scanner ASCII String Decoder, the scan shows (FNCs in bold):

]C142012345<GS>9101123456789123456788

Our only concern is the HR - what do you suggest?

Operating System: Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Unix

Application: Many

Suggestions:

1. For a given resolution size, reduce the HR (human-readable text under the barcode) font size. This is done using the Font Size property, like FS=8.

2. Start at a smaller Image Resolution (96 is the default, IR=96), which will allow the text to fit the barcode image, and not be truncated:

From then on, the Image Resolution property may be increased to find the maximum barcode size for the given data, with relation to the HR (human-readable text under the barcode).

3. Disable the HR text by setting the ShowText property to False, ST=F.

Place a separate text field under the barcode (in the program that is receiving the streamed barcode image).

An added benefit of this technique is that the user can specify text properties, independent of the barcode image itself.
