How to select UPC-A font from UPCEAN?

Hi,
I am trying to display a field as barcode (upc-a) in oracle BI Publisher report. My problem is, when I am developing word template for the report I can not see UPC-A font in drop down list, instead I see only UPCEAN font. When I select it the barcode format is not UPC-A but some thing else. Could you please advise how to select UPC-A font from UPCEAN?

Thank you,
Nanda

Nanda,

The UPCEAN font does support UPC-A. The data needs to be encoded first however using our java code. This will format the data so that when the UPCEAN font is applied a readable UPCA barcode will result. A client of ours wrote a comprehensive blog on oracle showing how to do this. See this page for the blog post.

He uses code 128 as an example. However you will want to use the UPCA method instead. The java code is included with the purchase of a Developer License and above.
