Possible to use Late Binding in DLL for Access?


Is it possible to use late binding to create the DMATRIXLib Datamatrix object in the code for the function EncDC (using Microsoft access implementation)

Currently using the Reference to the .dll, it works, however, it requires the program to be installed to even compile. Similar issues in the past have been fixed by using the following format

Dim DMFontEncoder As Object
Set DMFontEncoder = CreateObject()

Operating System: Windows 10

Application: Microsoft Access 365

When using the Data Matrix Font Encoder for Access, we recommend using the Native VBA code that does not require the DLL. If you must use ActiveX, we do not believe the late binding is possible. Native VBA is included in the latest version of the product. If you already own a license to the Data Matrix Font and Encoder, simply purchase the one-year Level 2 Support Subscripion for the license you own to receive download access to this latest version.
