VBA fails to function on a protected worksheet


I’ve purchased the Excel Native Generator to produce barcodes in Excel.

The VBA fails to function on a protected worksheet. The sheet isn’t heavily protected, just protected without a password, and a few unprotected cells to stop accidental deleting of formulas. The VBA also fails if the cell containing the bar code function is excluded from the protection.

A Google search tells me I need to place the following 2 lines of code at the appropriate location to overcome the problem.

Sheet1.Unprotect Password:=""
Sheet1.Protect Password:=""

A single line of additional code entered into the “ThisWorkbook” section of the VBA set the conditions of the protection.

The code is:
Sheet1.Protect DrawingObjects:=False, UserInterfaceOnly:=True, Contents:=True, Password:=""
