Using the IDAutomationC128 with Oracle Ebusiness

Hi,

We are using IDAutomationC128L and IDAutomationC128M in Oracle ebs. When we run the report in report developer the barcodes show up, however, when we run the report from Oracle the barcodes show up as random numbers.

We have installed the fonts on Linux and have made the changes we think are needed but they still don't show up.

Any ideas about what the issue could be?

Thanks
Shahed

Operating System: Linux red hat

Application: Oracle Ebs 12.1.2

Based on the document, it does not appear that the data is encoded/formatted for the barcode font. We have a solution for Oracle BI Publisher (if using Publisher) that uses a combination of a barcode font and Java Encoder class to generate a scannable barcode.

If the barcode font is printed as a PDF, verify the font is fully embedded in the document. If not, the encoded data (font set to a standard value) will display instead of the selected Code 128 barcode font.

Yes, the font is compatible.

one more question. Is the font compatible with Linux Redhat 5? We are on an older version of Linux, so I just wanted to make sure that is not an issue.

Thanks
Shahed

Embedding instructions are procedures outlined by the application vendor. Refer to the user manual for Oracle applications.

Hi Ben,

Can you provide a document or link for steps on embedding the font in the PDF?

Thanks
Shahed

Font embedding means that fonts can be included in electronic documents, such as PDF files.

Hi Ben,

Can you please explain what you mean by 'fully embedded'?

Thanks
